Moving forward in the rapids, we are still constantly improving our craft, Hana Giri.
We still retain some traditional manufacturing techniques, using more designed styles and better craftsmanship to ensure the details and quality of each knife, and we also hope to bring you a brand new experience.

Traditional knife making and modern industry
Since the Heian period, sword forging has been deeply rooted in the oriental aesthetics. The folding forging technique has been passed down from generation to generation, giving Japanese knives their world-famous sharpness and toughness.
Since the beginning of the 20th century, industrial technology has continued to advance, and with it, various high-precision equipment and materials have emerged. Our requirements for products have also increased accordingly. The combination of modern industrial technology and ancient forging technology has given rise to various forging methods, and also created a variety of exquisite blades and products, and our pace has never stopped.
Today, this pursuit of ultimate sharpness has been reborn in the modern kitchen art of "Hua Zhan".

Forging process
The blade is forged from multiple layers of steel, with the material customized according to the purpose and style of each knife. There are 67 layers of steel stacked, and there are also a variety of special patterns on the surface and styles of the handle.
After vacuum deep heat treatment, the steel remains sharp and not easily deformed, and the blade strength, toughness and corrosion resistance are enhanced. The hardness can reach 60±2.
The sharpness of the blade is also checked according to international standards (BS EN ISO 8442-5:950-OPZ) and tested by various third-party agencies.
At the same time, the overall design of the handle and blade brings better grip and center of gravity balance. The blade adopts a 12° edge, which is sharper than the international 20°, which also brings the sharpness to a new level.
